He knows their truth, but the memories of slow touches and gentle words still linger. This man is so much like the Mr. Graves he knew before-- still brusk, still self-assured to the point of arrogance, but with a vein of dry humor where only darkness lurked before. He still sets Credence’s heart pounding, and Credence wonders if he got what he deserved for his sins. Or, in which Credence goes looking for the man who betrayed him, but finds someone else altogether.
