Fics like The Cage Becomes The Strings

Kris swears they have it the worst. Like, they're being puppeted around by some eldritch being, forcing them to do things they never wanted. Not to mention it keeps interfering with the plan. So what if it's always been nice, and treats their friends with love, and lets Kris do stuff they want, it's still controlling them! It must be so easy, not being the Cage. What if they weren't the Cage anymore? That would solve everything, right? But someone has to be the Cage.
