Fics like A Useful Disappointment

After the fallout of the Les Arbres/ Cold bodies situation, and the attack on Slough House- which, despite everything, is still government property- a ‘discreet’ audit is needed. Keeping tabs on Harkness, with the blackmail he holds over the Service’s head, however, is risky… The solution? The aforementioned Slough House of course! They regularly get the administrative work no-one else wants. They’re expendable. And best of all, they have their own motivation to find the man’s whereabouts. Now Claude only has to worry about Diana finding out about his little plot for transparency. -OR- In the course of an audit, River discovers he has yet another surprise brother… except this one is linked by DNA to his Grandfather.
