Fics like The Weight of Destiny

“I can’t open a portal between realms.” “Have you ever tried?” Lloyd paused, blinked. “I… No. I haven’t.” “Then I suggest you do. Come. We will go outside for this.” The three of them went to the roof of the building, and Lloyd once more took in the sight of the immense city. He didn’t know how he was going to do this. He didn’t know how to access the dragon part of him. The gold was there, sure, but it was buried deep beneath a sea of green and purple-black. He couldn’t… reach it. He’d never been able to, and he didn’t think he would, standing on a roof in the middle of a city in a realm he’d never heard of while he was wearing his pajamas. “You can do this.” Lloyd rolled his eyes. “You don’t know that.” “No, but I believe it.” --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lloyd's dragon side reacts to something in his sleep, dragging him to a realm he's never even heard of. To get home, he must master a power he didn't know he had all while pretending to be from the world he finds himself in. Will he make it home in the end? Will he even want to?
