Fics like Better Today Than They Were Yesterday

Eva Stratt wakes up in the Afterlife and gets a chance to become the best version of herself. She’ll have to face her fears, flaws, and failures, then have a conversation that’s been a long time coming… OR: "Well," Tahani said, "'from each according to their ability, to each according to their needs,' yes? If they are able to carry out the mission, then they are obligated to do so. And you are able to manage the Project, so your service is also 'no big whoop,' yes?" "I understand your point," Stratt said, "I just don't like it." "Why not?" Tahani asked. "Because the crew are heroes, and you are drawing parallels between me and them. It's disrespectful." "Are you not a hero?" "Fuck no," Stratt spat. "Why not?" "Because the crew are uncomplicatedly good and noble and I'm a fucking monster."
