Fics like Once You're Mine

Rey Kenobi fell in love with a man she'd never met. She fell in love with his poetry first, when she was thirteen. With the rage threaded through every line. The hunger. The cruelty. The loneliness. The confessions disguised as art. Everyone else called Ben Solo brilliant. Rey thought he was honest. By the time she finally gets a place in his English seminar during her second year at university, she's spent countless nights memorizing his words, convincing herself she understands the man behind them. Then she meets him. Ben Solo is nothing like the poet she imagined. Divorced. Bitter. Infuriatingly intelligent. A man who burns through relationships and leaves wreckage behind him. A man whose darkest poems turn out to be the truest. Most people see what he is and leave. Rey can't seem to stop moving closer. As Ben begins writing again for the first time in years, Rey finds herself becoming the subject of his attention—and perhaps his next collection. But muses are dangerous things, especially for men who turn pain into poetry. And Ben Solo has spent his entire life making art out of the people who loved him.
