Fics like Re: Watching the Last Hope of Humanity

After everything Subaru Natsuki has endured, the people closest to him finally believe they understand the weight he carries. They were wrong. A mysterious being, taking place of their original warden, appears before the residents of Lugnica, offering to show a new tale featuring the very boy they had watched all this time. One who's Subaru had faced a much... different fate from their own. One, in a far distant future, where a young man now leads humanity's last soldiers, while carrying the hopes of a civilization that refuses to disappear. As they witness his journey, the cast must confront an uncomfortable truth: Their Subaru is not the only person who has been forced to smile while carrying the weight of an entire world. What new trials and tribulations will the cast witness. What horrors and tragedies will they witness as they watch another hero struggle against an impossible fate?
