Ever since Paul had told him, John had been hanging around at all hours, asking Paul to marry him, promising they would get a flat together, swearing up and down that he was going to be there for anything Paul needed, even as Paul told him over and over to piss off and leave him alone. How could a bloke think with so much nagging? Even though everyone expected him to go through with it, because it was the thing you did when you were pregnant and unmarried and the supposed father was there. Paul doesn’t care that he’s pregnant, he wants John to leave him alone - but John just can’t do it.
