When stripped of his Kevlar and cleaned of the soot of his city and the scent of war paint, Bruce smelled like spiced cinnamon. Others to ease the sting of disappointment if it so happened Clark was hallucinating again. Bruce's cheek was pressed to Clark's shoulder, his head tucked beneath Clark's chin—and it made looking all the more difficult. A generous amount of war paint was still smudged on the skin around Bruce's eyes, some of it smeared on Clark's skin. Or, Clark's debilitating survivors guilt VS his boyfriend whom he's borderline down horrendous for.
