Fics like Just Pretend

Shane makes a drunken mistake in the name of protecting his carefully constructed closet, his life explodes in spectacular fashion. Suddenly faced with an unplanned pregnancy, a movie-star girlfriend, and a team of publicists convinced that "devoted family man" is a better headline than "gay hockey player," Shane commits himself to a future that looks perfect on paper. The only problem is that his heart still belongs to Ilya Rozanov—the man he left behind a few months earlier with a broken heart, several unresolved feelings, and a belly button full of cum. Featuring an unforgettable supporting cast of ridiculous characters—including the endlessly supportive Rose, a delightfully meddling book club of old biddies who adopt Ilya as one of their own, and a sweet baby who changes all of their lives—this is a funny, emotional story about parenthood, forgiveness, grief, healing, and two grown men who could have avoided most of their problems by having one honest fucking conversation. or- Shane knocks up Rose, almost dies, and he and Ilya find their way back to each other the way they always do...only now they have an adorable baby to love too.
