Fics like And I got a feeling (Wounds are healing)

"Father said he will not train me further," he whispers, like it's a secret. His face is carefully blank, but his lips are just a little bit downturned, betraying his displeasure. "He says I can train to keep my current skills sharp, but according to him, I do not need to learn anything more to defend myself if needed as a civilian." "Why do you need to train more? You're not with the League anymore," Tim adds, while picking on the label of his water bottle. "I…" Damian stops, considering his answer. His hands are hidden in his sleeves, his shirt a little bit longer than needed. " Growing up, I was told one day I would be sent to Father and train under him. So, when the time comes, I could take my place both as the Heir of my Father and my Grandfather" he takes a shuddering breath and Tim doesn't dare to interrupt him. Damian looks more unsure and even younger than he usually does. "I'm no longer part of my maternal lineage, and I'm not sure who I am if Father doesn't let me train and stand with him. Everyone in the family contributes to Father's mission, and how can I earn my place if I can't participate?" or: Damian and Tim talks about the role of Robin (part of a series)
