Fics like Ruined Lives, Second Chances

“I know you feel bad for him, Wax,” Deadfinger said. “Survivor’s scars, I do. But a man like that is too dangerous to leave alive.” “Hell, Jon, he named his rusting *horse* 'Daisy'.” A young Waxillium Ladrian accompanies seasoned lawkeeper Jon Deadfinger to a small mining settlement to stop a gang of bandits. They find only one trembling, sobbing kid. And that's only the beginning. Exploration of Wax and Wayne's beginnings in the Roughs, from Wayne's capture and trial to the arrest of Icy Ben Oldson.
