Fics like Finish Line

"Who the hell is that?" Colt demanded, the words hitting the quiet room like lead weights. "That car belonged to a mid-field amateur who died seven days ago. Now suddenly it’s executing perfect thermal management and flawless geometric sweeps?” When a bankrupt team shoves tech Casey Daley, known as Driver in the paddock, into the cockpit after their main driver dies, he wants out. He doesn't want glory—just his wrench. Colt Seavers—a weary F1 veteran—recognizes the kid is way out of his depth. When corporate extortion threatens Driver’s career, Colt strikes a deal: he’ll play the arrogant villain in a fake PR rivalry to protect Driver's credentials and keep his own face on screen to search for his missing brother. -------_______ or Colt uses Driver as his ticket to keep searching for his brother. It backfires when Colt falls head over heels for him while his search hits a wall. Driver just wants to survive—and now he needs Colt to survive as well.
