Fics like Written in Flames

When Alanna found the beautiful ring in the caverns near her home, it called to her. She couldn't have expected it would bring her more than she bargained for, plunging her in way over her head and into matters spanning the whole of Orsterra. As she journeys across the continent for the sake of revenge for her family, renewal for her home, and figuring out what exactly being chosen by the ring is supposed to mean, she meets and gathers a whole cohort of colorful and unlikely friends and allies to travel by her side--particularly Sazantos, the Flameguard, to whom she is drawn as surely and irresistibly as to the Sacred Flame itself. Will she truly be the one to bring light to the world? Will she retain the strength of her spirit in the face of the evil ways of the villains who bear the other seven rings? Will she be forced to choose between the world and the man she loves in the end, or can they still manage to find true happiness together? She'll have to trust in the Sacred Flame to guide her and keep the ember of hope in her heart alive, for only Aelfric the Flamebringer truly knows what's written in flames.
