Fics like A Covenant of Fire and Ash

Simon Snow is a powerful nephilim, the abandoned child of an angel and a human, and is on the precipice of priesthood when he is called to Vatican City with an assignment from Pope David I himself. After a string of priests become mysteriously afflicted with a plague that rots their skin and robs them of their sanity, Simon is tasked with going to Los Angeles to exorcise patient zero. Not only that, he is being forced to partner with Baz Pitch, the descendant of one of the most powerful demons in supernatural history. Simon doesn't know where he comes from and he's no longer sure of the path ahead of him but he is certain that the burning feelings he has for his enemy will only result in setting them both aflame. Baz Pitch has more than a few secrets of his own and the last person he can tell is Simon, even if he's pretty sure he's the only person across dimensions that he wants to. With the forces of Heaven and Hell trying to tear them apart, it is up to an unlikely pair of supernaturals to save the world and, against all odds, each other.
