Fics like Steam Powered Giraffe and the Dream Island

This came to me in a dream, and then I had a creative writing assignment to do a childrens book so I just went with this. When Rabbit, The Spine, Upgrade and The Jon slip into a portal, they wake up to find themselves stuck somewhere dark and unfamiliar. Can they find their way out, and back home?
