Fics like If You Wanna Be Starting Something

Michael Jackson only wanted one ordinary afternoon. A quiet trip to the grocery store leads to an unexpected friendship with David MacKenzie, a stoic Scottish veteran whose calm presence feels like a lifeline in a world that rarely lets Michael breathe. When a crowd turns dangerous and David steps in without hesitation, Michael offers him a job as his personal bodyguard. What begins as a professional arrangement slowly becomes something far more complicated. As David navigates the chaos of fame, manipulative industry executives, demanding family members, and the constant pressure surrounding the world's biggest superstar, he finds himself fiercely protective of the lonely, kind-hearted man hidden beneath the legend. Meanwhile, Michael discovers that David is the first person in years who sees him not as Michael Jackson, but simply Michael. But falling in love is dangerous when one man is responsible for the other's safety...and the entire world is watching.
