Fics like Boy and Bird, Cat and Monster

In a world where a person’s soul takes solid animal form, two boys arrive to the same orphanage on the same day, one year apart. From that moment on, despite their opposite demeanours, backgrounds and dæmons, the two end up with uncanny bond that will be tested through the ends of the world and after. Whether or not they will both survive with it is another story entirely. (Follows game and anime storyline, with small snippets from NNT and my own backstories for the cast.)
