Fics like Distribution Matrix

After 30 months as Unit Chief, Aaron rarely has to think too hard about which agents he pairs up or who he assigns to each task - but canvasing skid row presents him with a handful of challenges. Six team members plus two locals, neither of whom think highly of the other. Six white faces in a mostly non-white community. One young detective whose work Aaron doesn't know very well but who could use some encouragement and professional reenforcement. One man who gets a little too flirty with the "working girls." One mentor figure who has dropped all mentoring duties when it matters the most. And a young agent whose relationship with substances is fraught but Aaron doesn't know the precise status of. All to be divided among two homeless encampments, a shooting gallery, and a prostitution area. He hasn't done one of these puzzles since he was studying for the LSAT. (AKA why Reid being propositioned by every prostitute in Kansas City was the best possible option.)
