Fics like Rises The Moon

Sokka had spent most of his childhood looking up. He’d stare up at his father and the other warriors. He'd stare up at his mother and Gran Gran when they’d lean down to pick him up or press a kiss to his forehead. He stared up at the older village kids, and up at the huge polar dogs roaming the outskirts, and up at the snow falling slow and lazy from the clouds high, high above. Then he started to grow. The snow turned to ash, his mother died, his father left, and he didn’t have much to look up to anymore. There was only one thing that stayed consistent, that always stayed far above his head, out of reach. Glowing brightly and always pulling his attention– the Moon. --- Sokka has been touched by the ocean spirit and it changes everything during the siege on the Northern Water Tribe.
