A strange frequency on the signalscope appears near the beginning of every cycle. Only a few seconds long, but its source is... Unusual. It must be from light-years away, because it comes from the same direction, no matter where in the system the Hatchling is. Luckily, they have a new upgrade to the signalscope to help check things out. The ability to play back a clip of any recorded signal. But this signal is more than strange- it holds a dark secret about the nature of the universe. (Spoilers for both base game and DLC! This is based off of an RP adventure I created for the friend who introduced me to this game, so it may not translate well to fanfic format since it was meant to be open world and played like the game was. They encouraged me to post it, though, so here we are!)
