Fics like heavy-laden

“Shop’s closed,” Crowley growled once more, smoldering. He snapped his fingers, fully intending on miracling the man out of the bookshop — but he merely smiled mildly at the demon, looking nonplussed. “Oh, those don’t work on me, sorry,” he said, rather pleasantly. “It’s quite good to see you again, Crowley.” Crowley stared at him. It was only then he understood that he was staring at Him. Crowley is perfectly - well, not happy, but perfectly fine - to spend his days in the bookshop, drinking and grieving and wishing things had gone differently. That is, until the Son of God turns up, asking to have a word with him about Aziraphale. Something's gone down in the Up - and the angel really would never cease to surprise him. (Or: One of many the GO3 rewrites that will surely be populating this site for years to come! Featuring the many complexities of grief, forgiveness, and human nature.)
