Fics like The Worst Time to Meet Your Son’s Boyfriend

David Hollander arrives in Montreal with homemade soup, expecting to take care of his son Shane, who’s down with the flu after missing the biggest NHL game of the season. What he does not expect is finding Shane cuddled in the lap of his greatest hockey rival: Boston Bears captain Ilya Rozanov. Apparently the NHL’s most legendary rivalry has secretly been a relationship for over a decade. Now David must process three shocking truths:  his son is gay,  Ilya Rozanov is basically a housewife with pharmacy bags,  and every on-ice fight was apparently foreplay.
