Fics like Truly Outrageous

In a glittering 80s world of music, rivalry, and high-stakes glamour, Jerrica Benton steps into the spotlight as Jem to save her family's record company and the Starlight House orphanage. But maintaining her secret identity becomes far more complicated when her longtime best friend and new road manager, Rio Pacheco—a sharp-tongued, leather-jacketed butch tech genius—stirs up feelings Jerrica never expected. As the Holograms battle their way to the top against the ruthless Misfits, every onstage rivalry hides an offstage spark. Flirtatious tension, stolen moments, and messy situationships blur the lines between enemies and something more. Amid sabotage, spectacular performances, and emotional heartbreak, Jem and Rio navigate a slow-burning connection marked by protective instincts, jealousy, and unspoken yearning. A faithful reimagining of Jem and the Holograms Season 1 with dykes in it...
