Fics like nymph (and a rookie in raccoon)

In biology, a nymph is the juvenile form of some invertebrates, particularly insects. Rookie Leon S. Kennedy, in Raccoon City in the midst of the worst night of his life, is not an insect. Until he is, at which point his usual story takes a sharp left turn and goes straight off a cliff. Or, an AU of an AU where Leon, in the middle of Raccoon City, gets infected by a plaga six years too early. Becoming a monster in a city filled with them is terrifying enough, but when your options are adapt or die, you take what you can to survive. Plus, it has its perks. Being bite proof is one of them. (This is self-indulgent and I'm writing snippets non-chronologically, so don't be surprised if chapters move around.)
