Dennis’ eyes flick down to the dog bed. He’s never been denied it before. It might help keep his fur from getting dirty, at least. He grabs it and starts back to the door. He won’t make them say it. He’s been bad so that means he has to go outside. “Dennis,” Robby says. Dennis winces and drops the bed. He should have known better. or Dennis never thought his partners would punish him. It's not like them, they're far too kind for it. Just because it was what his father had done, it wasn't what Jack and Robby would do.
