‘No offence, but I can’t let my parents find out I’m tutoring you,’ Jason said. ‘If they hear there’s an alpha sniffing around me, they’ll yank me out of school and send me to Maine. Especially–’ He gestured, a little rudely, at the everything that made up Eddie Munson. Eddie blinked. ‘Right.’ He cleared his throat. ‘Come to mine after school?’ Jason’s neck prickled. Him, go to Eddie Munson’s house? ‘Or we could meet at the pharmacy–’ ‘No!’ The thought of what his parents would say if they heard Jason was going for milkshakes with Munson, like they were on a date– ‘No, your place is okay. Just, I don’t have a car–’ ‘You can ride with me. I can pick you up at the back lot.’ Eddie seemed almost… excited. ‘I get it, dude. Thanks. I still think you’re wasting your time, but… if you’re cool with it, then… I don’t wanna screw you over. I’ll keep it quiet, and we can meet after school, and you can teach me how to conjugate my verbiage.’ He winced. ‘Not meant to sound dirty. My bad.’ Jason snorted. For some reason, it made Eddie’s whole face light up like Christmas. Tutoring Eddie ‘the freak’ Munson is going to ruin Jason’s life. He just knows it.
