Fics like Break the Loop, Keep the Boy

The diplomatic alliance with New Altea was supposed to be straightforward: a traditional political marriage between two Paladins to secure the planet's loyalty. Team Voltron had it all planned out. Except Keith doesn't remember planning it. In fact, he can barely remember the details of the mission at all. All Keith knows is that he woke up with the phantom taste of copper in his mouth, a burning ache in his chest, and the echo of Lance screaming his name in absolute despair. When Lance corners him in the hallway—pale, trembling, and looking at Keith like he’s a ghost—Keith dismisses it as stress. But as the day progresses, Lance begins predicting the future with terrifying, flawless accuracy. He fixes Pidge's unwritten code, guesses Hunk's conversations, and watches the palace balconies with a desperate, feral focus. Keith thinks Lance is losing his mind. Lance is just trying to survive the day. Because the royal ceremony is an ambush, a temporal artifact is ticking down, and this is the fifteenth time Lance has had to watch Keith die.
