Fics like the kind that pays better (mystery writers, serial killers)

Trinity Santos is a succesful fiction writer whose books get her involved in a murder investigation. Detective Yolanda Garcia is on the case and learns that her comfort author is different than she'd imagined. Both of them are kind of in over their heads. This contains: slow-burn garsantos, murder investigations, tragic backstories, whitsantos bestfriendism and other stuff that I'll be adding in the tags as I go along. The whole premise and the chapters are inspired by different Castle episodes but I don't think it's necessary to have actually watched the show.
