Fics like When the shadows come home

"Look, I'm sorry about the wards Lan Zhan but I needed...look this is A-Yuan. You remember him right? Likes bunnies? I need you to take him for me, for a bit. I know I can trust you with this right? I'll explain everything later, I promise, just do this for me, please." "Wei Ying? I don't understand. How did you get here? And why do you smell like smoke?" Seven years ago several cultivation clans united to take down Wen Ruohan when he went mad. Two years after that, Wei Wuxian dropped off the face of the earth as far as the cultivation world was concerned. Lan Wangji had spent part of those last five years searching for any leads on his whereabouts, only to run into him while volunteering. Just as he's trying to figure out how he wants to approach his long-lost crush, Wei Wuxian breaks into his house to leave a preschooler with him. Only this time, Lan Wangji decides he won't just let it happen again. This time, he's going to find Wei Wuxian, and figure out what's actually going on.
