Fics like idée fixe

Shane has always known that he's different. Bad different too, because kids are cruel in their honesty, especially when you're as talented as Shane is. He even makes peace with it (or pretends to). Alone at the top. And then Ilya Rozanov happens. A natural disaster that enchants Shane from the first minute of the first tape. Lightning in a bottle let loose on the ice, and he's so beautiful that Shane wants to cry. When they meet for the first time, it's like seeing the sun for the first time, and neither can fight their gravity during draft. Their meeting in the gym changes everything - because Shane is not alone in his obsession, and Ilya never knew how to back down. First names are maybe a lot less scary when you're barely 18 and already halfway in love. or love at first sight masquerading as teenage obsession. a gym session straight from a boston couch (it makes sense i promise). soulmates (?)
