Fics like Only Little Howls for the Damned

Leah went through the ritual just like the shifters before her, and the fact that she was the only woman to do it was apparently little cause for concern. At least, that’s what the elders assured her. Despite Leah's doubts, their instructions had been clear enough. Dress as a warrior. Act as a warrior. Drink the tea like a warrior. And then follow your instincts. Which would’ve been a whole lot more helpful if those instincts hadn’t led her straight into the path—and arms—of one of the most dangerous and inhumanly beautiful bloodsuckers to ever stalk the earth. Yeah. Thanks, tea. Thanks, sacred ritual. Really. Glad for the inspo—take up knitting? Open a gym? Key Sam’s car? No? ... Literally anything else would’ve been better. Or: Leah follows her instincts straight into a vampire disaster, and things simultaneously get better and worse from there.
