Fics like To Wish Upon a Shooting Star

Venria von Valancius has a dream. Heinrix van Calox scoffs at any such delusions. After all, when such a jaded pessimist happens upon a starry-eyed idealist, conflict is only natural. Inevitably, naivité will crumble under the weight of newfound responsibility, trust will be betrayed, and trials will test one's resolve. Yet one must live as they wish to be, for that is the only way. Spite the world, remain true to oneself and wish upon a shooting star for a better, more gentle future. --- Weekly updates on Sunday evenings European time. Iconoclast!Rogue Trader / Heinrix van Calox that loosely follows the game's plot. This fic switches POVs between the two and can be seen as a sort of character study: a sheltered idealist finding steadiness in a man who looks danger in the eyes head-on, and a broken pessimist slowly learning how to live.
