Fics like Field Notes of a Young Psychologist

As Pokémon psychology emerges as a new field, a young college graduate is recruited to embark on a multi-region expedition to study behavior in a world shaped by natural and man-made disasters. But along the way, fragile ecosystems and emotionally complex Pokémon quickly challenge her confidence. As she’s pulled between the roles of researcher and trainer, she questions what she really wants out of her Pokémon journey: Champion or Professor? What starts as a hopeful pursuit of knowledge slowly uncovers deeper, more unsettling truths about trauma, control, and the systems that shape people, Pokémon, and the world around them.
