Fics like Burn Me Twice — A Cleon Fanfiction

Every love story has a ghost. Leon Kennedy’s has been haunting him since the night a city burned and a woman in a red dress kissed him on a catwalk above an underground laboratory, then let herself fall into the dark while he screamed her name into smoke that swallowed everything. Claire Redfield on the other hand, has always been a different shade of red for Leon. Maybe his favourite one, brighter than Ada’s dress or Ada’s lipstick or the fire she always seemed to burn him with. It is a story about a man who has spent too long running after sparks to see the flame burning behind him. It is a story about a man who has spent so long blindly chasing the fire that he forgot what warmth felt like—and the woman who has been standing in the light the whole time, waiting for him to open his eyes. It is a story about ghosts, about the ones we carry and the ones we become. About a man choosing between what’s in his mind and what’s always been in his heart. About a man who stopped running, turned around, and saw what was right in front of him. “Only love that continues to flow in the face of anger, blame, and indifference can be called love.”—Vironika Tugaleva I do NOT own any character here, all characters are property of capcom.
