Fics like Scent That Was Never Mine

“We know you’re a beta, Mingi,” he admitted finally. “But sometimes you smell like…” He trailed off, glancing at Seonghwa again as if asking for permission to continue. “Like what?” Mingi pressed, his patience wearing thin. Seonghwa hesitated for a moment, choosing his words carefully before meeting Mingi’s eyes. “Like an alpha,” he said quietly. Mingi stared at him for a second before letting out a disbelieving laugh, shaking his head. “That doesn’t even make sense.” Or Mingi has always lived simply as a beta, untouched by the complicated hierarchy of alphas and omegas, until whispers begin to follow him. People react to him as if he carries a scent he should not have, drawing attention he does not understand. But what he does not know is that his childhood friend, Yunho, an alpha, has been quietly marking him with his own scent for years.
