Fics like It's rotten work

“I’m not your property.” He tries to move back, but the soft grip Hermes has on his face is unyielding, like a gentle statue. He’s not forceful, just incredibly strong. “Why not?” He tilts his head, bird-like. He sounds genuinely curious. “I am your father. Had I known of your existence sooner, I would have claimed you a long time ago.” Hermes looks Luke over. It strikes Luke now how much they physically look alike, Luke with his runner’s build, tall, slender, with quick legs and strong arms. “My little demigod.” He marveled. “You’re perfect. Save for this.” His thumb follows the scar near his eye. Luke stands frozen. He got this scar on a quest for Hermes; now it’s called an imperfection. A flaw. What a slap in the face. As punishment for killing the host of Kronos, Luke wakes up in ancient Greece.
