Fics like Eight Years Later

Marco and Amicus are reunited for the first time in eight years, following humanity's inclusion in the Galaxias. This is their first night together. This piece is very introspective, not very plot-heavy. Because of this, the writing might be a bit pompous for a GFVN fanfic. Also, I've characterized Marco differently from how he was in the original story. He's a bit "war torn" for lack of a better phrase, and he picked up an annoyingly proper tone of voice. (I'm not used to writing fanfic, sorry! Hope you enjoy regardless.) (Also, this is kind of a test for me, I've never posted here before...)
