Fics like We Could Start Again

“Doctor, do your reproductive parts work the same as a human male's?” Rose found herself asking, voice sounding distant to her own ears, as she finally looked at him. “That's uh – that's a strange question. I don't – I mean, I'm pretty sure that they do,” the Doctor stumbled over his answer, hand scrubbing at the back of his neck. “Why do you ask? What has that got to do with you being si-?” Rose could pinpoint the exact moment that realization hit him from the way his eyes widened and his nose scrunched up in what she could only describe as disbelief. She would have found the expression highly amusing under different circumstances. “You're pregnant,” the Doctor said, eyes going from her stomach to her face and then back to her stomach. OR: When the Doctor and Rose nearly die on a mission, dodging bullets and running for their lives, they fall into bed together. Several weeks later, they find out that Rose is now carrying the Doctor's child.
