Fics like The Scent of Almost
Five years. That's how long Dunk has loved Joong from a distance. As an Alpha, Dunk knows he's not Joong's type. Joong likes soft Omegas with floral scents, not a tall, broad Alpha who smells like chocolate and cinnamon. So Dunk hides his feelings, watches Joong date others, and pretends his heart isn't breaking. But when Joong's rut hits — harder and darker than any Alpha's should — Dunk is the only one Joong trusts to help. Locked in an apartment thick with thunderstorm-and-cold-metal pheromones, Dunk discovers that Joong is hiding something. Something impossible. Something that makes Dunk's Alpha instincts submit instead of fight. And in the fragile space between Joong's rut and reality, Dunk starts to wonder: what if the scent he's been chasing all these years was never meant for someone else? What if it was always meant for him?
