Fics like i just want you to know (i wanna be your romeo)

“Oh. She wasn’t expecting—hmm. She still hates him on principle, but she considers the offer anyway. He’s not wrong that she’d have more influence as his wife than she does as the semi-deposed princess who currently stands essentially as a figurehead, meant to smile and accept their stupid Evil Overlords so that the people smile and accept them. And, unlike Elsa, who has smiled and accepted them, she would use that influence, if she had it, even if it is ridiculous that she has to consider marrying one of the princes who conquered them in order to make a real difference for her own country. She’s attracted to him, however much she does not like that fact about herself, so marrying him wouldn’t be difficult on that front. She doesn’t love him. He doesn’t expect her to. So, really, that shouldn’t even be a sticking point.” or: after the deaths of King Agnarr and Queen Iduna, the Westergaards arrive, with the intention of making Arendelle a part of their Empire
