Fics like the road to ruin (and we're starting at the end)

“I don’t want to share my coffin. I can’t fit anywhere else. I can barely fit in there as it is.” “I’m not asking to share,” Zaeth says; Mitch turns to stare at him, baffled. Zaeth is leaning over the coffin lid now in a way that’s really emphasizing his bulging biceps. (Mitch does not have much visible muscle. He’s strong, of course, but it’s not beautiful in the way Zaeth’s is. Zaeth looks every bit like a body builder, a human, and Mitch looks more like roadkill that simply cannot be torn apart. Like putty. Like cement. Something is inherently inhuman about him, and though he possesses the strength, it is not beautiful. Not like Zaeth.) - or: Zaeth decides he's taking Mitch's coffin. This goes over about as well as stepping into the sunlight.
