Fics like suck the rot right out of my bloodstream

Trinity had broken her own vow to never get involved with another coworker when Parker had asked her out. She was only human, after all. Things with Parker were good, solid. Trinity never had to double check if their plans were still on, Parker had actually seemed deeply confused the first few times Trinity had texted her to make sure she should still come over, so she’d stopped. Parker also always seemed to remember what Trinity liked when they ordered takeout and she insisted on paying for everything. She was still trying to get used to it. If she was being honest, she was still waiting for the other shoe to drop. No one was ever this nice to her for this long unless they wanted something.
