Fics like I think I was born already missing you

Eddie braced himself against the table, “what are you saying” he looked back and forth between his parents. “I have a cousin, Raymond, he runs a ranch in Montana. He’s looking for some help this summer and I said that you were available” his mother said, as if it was a fun summer camp they were sending him too for a few weeks. “You’re sending me to Montana?” Eddie cried, “why? For hanging out with my friends” “You know why Edmundo,” his mother said coldly. Or: The summer after high school, Eddie Diaz was sent to a ranch in Montana to "learn to be a real man". There he meets another lost teenager named Evan. The decisions he makes, and the relationships he enters, will haunt him for the rest of his life.
