Fics like Letters from Geneva

When Father Vincent Benítez arrives in Geneva on a summer afternoon, he is at the lowest point of his life. Four months ago, a fateful diagnosis turned his world upside down, shaking him, who devoted his entire life to serving God and the Church, to the core. Lost and left alone with the ruins of the life he once knew, Vincent struggles to search for both himself and a way to reconcile with a God who seems to have deserted him. Little does he know that he will find solace and answers where he least expects it – in a clinic, in the office of an aging doctor who, too, has his fair share of trouble with God and the past. And little does Dr. Thomas Lawrence know that the quiet, skittish priest he catches himself falling for against all reason and principle is destined to one day inherit the throne of St. Peter. Or: The AU in which Vincent Benítez decides to fly to Geneva and meets Dr. Thomas Lawrence.
