Fics like the trust of a fox

“You’re not supposed to touch them, you know.” Jinu’s tone carries a distinctly amused edge. Despite the mild mannered warning, he stays right where he is, legs crossed and hands in his lap. “You’re not stopping me.” Rumi points out. She still has enough manners to pause and see how serious he’s being. One of the tails brushes against her hand, too deliberate to be anything but permission. Her smile warms and Rumi resumes her gentle strokes through enchantingly silky fur. “There are gumiho out there who would curse anyone who attempted to touch their tails.” “But not you.” “I think being stuck with me is probably enough of a curse.” Jinu jokes. Rumi looks up in order to send him a flat look that perfectly communicates it was not funny, then resumes her attention on the tails. (Or Jinu wasn’t just transformed to be any old demon, but a Gumiho. Rumi only learns after the fact, not that she minds.)
