Fics like The Twin Paradox

“I’m not him, Eva,” Colt murmured. “I will never be him.” “I know,” she protested. “No, you don’t understand. The more you get to know me, the more you’ll realize just how much I’m not him. And you’ll hate me for it.” She shook her head. “I’m not asking you to love me or pretend we’re together. Keep filming your movies. Sleep around with whoever you want, I don’t care. As long as you come back to me when it gets too hard, when I…” She swallowed. “When I miss him too much.” “This is toxic, Eva. You’re only going to hurt yourself even more.” “I know.” “And you’re going to hurt me too. Does that really not matter to you?” “Of course it matters. But I can’t help it. You’re all I have left, do you understand? You have his face, and his eyes, and his voice. You’re the only thing of him left on this Earth that I can still see and touch. Please, don’t make me lose that too. Don’t make me lose him again.” OR After the launch of the Hail Mary, Eva Stratt meets Ryland Grace’s twin brother, Colt Seavers, whose existence she never knew about. Devoured by guilt, she begins a toxic situationship with him in a desperate attempt to cling to Grace's memory.
