Fics like Ante Mortem

The kindest word to describe her situation was: stuck. Hell was the most accurate descriptor. Her life was bound to a video game franchise she had limited knowledge about. To make matters worse, the world of Resident Evil treated her like a video game character. She had her own personal opening scene, she had her own special gun, and she had a character background with a family she didn't know. The rules were straightforward: if she followed the plot and was strategic with her inventory and choices, she survived longer. And if she died, she would respawn. There was even a clear directive: Survive September 29th, 1998. There was a problem, though; she enters Raccoon City ten days prior to Leon and Claire's arrival. She's stuck surviving her last night in the city on Hardcore Mode while everyone else is on Normal Mode.
