Fics like Death only hurts the first time

But as he did, he suddenly stiffened. His flashlight stayed bright, flickering as he was unsure what to make of... …well, what was in front of him. At this little dead end, anyway. The walls were completely peeling, and strange gunk had gathered near the bottom. John moved his flashlight slightly but didn't keep it off the shock that had presented itself. A figure. A person. No, A man. Swirling foggy blue met electrifying green, underneath the kiss of darkness. Neither one dared to speak. or A crew is out collecting scrap like every other day, when they discover a man - huddled in the corner of one of the old factory rooms. He was abandoned, and never revived back onto his ship. That man is Smii7y, and the one who found him is John. A blood-covered, shit-storm follows and unravels too many secrets in its wake; about the company, about each other, and about shit that should've never been uncovered.
