Since Eddie left, they’ve been talking non-stop every single day. This unsettling silence doesn’t make any sense – Buck is sure something must’ve happened. Eddie sounded so happy last time they talked because things with his son were finally getting better. There had been a real light in his voice, the kind Buck could recognize even underwater. So, he doesn’t know what might’ve made him vanish into thin air as if he were a ghost. It could be anything, and Buck is scared shitless. It’s a nightmare and Buck can’t seem to wake up from it. Or the one where Buck goes to his best friend's rescue in Texas, and shit happens.
